Our Year Groups

Welcome to Year 4

All our classes are named after famous artists. Year 4 classes are
4 Kahlo, after the Mexican artist Frieda Kahlo, and 4 Monet, after the French artist Claude Monet. Our Year 4 teachers are Miss Gogarty and Miss Reid.

What can you do at home?

Spellings are on an attachment at the bottom of this page; it includes a selection of spellings and the spelling rule children are required to learn. Children should also log on to Mathletics each week and complete the assigned work. Class teachers will assign specific Mathletics work each week that supplements and consolidates what has been covered in class. All children have been supplied with their log in credentials for Mathletics, although these have not changed from last year. Please speak to the class teacher if you are unable to log on to Mathletics.

In addition to spellings and Mathletics, children can also continue to access j2e.com where they can find a wealth of educational games that are tailored to their level - we especially recommend the 'J2e Spellblast game'.

Finally, children have also been supplied with log in details for Times Table Rockstars which is a great online resource to help master times tables.

Please ensure your child is reading every day at home (please ask them comprehension questions, summarising main events) and regularly practising their times-tables up to 12 x 12.

Teachers have set assignments for
you to work through on Mathletics.
