Welcome to Year 2
Our classes are 2 Spain and 2 France.
In English, we will be exploring the following stories about the Great Fire of London:
The children will be writing newspaper reports, diary entries and poems inspired by the events of the Great Fire of London.
In Maths, we will be focusing on multiplication and division, as well as continuing our daily Mastering Maths sessions.
Homework:
- Weekly spellings will be sent out on a Friday and tested the following Friday. Please find these attached at the bottom of the page. Weekly spellings can be practised online on Spelling Shed:

Resources such as J2e and Busy Things can be accessed by typing 'LGFL My USO' into your browser and using your child's logons which are sent home near the beginning of term.
On J2e, click on shared folders to see the class and this will show you activities for the children to complete. You can write straight onto the documents and then to save just press the back arrow in the top left hand corner.

Reading:
Children should be reading at least 10-15 minutes a day. Sample SATs style reading comprehensions can be found on Twinkl or on www.satspapers.org.uk
