Newsletter - Friday 7th June 2024

It’s great to be back for Summer term 2 and to hear all about how children spent their half terms. We’ve been VERY busy this week – all children from  YR - 6 have visited the National Gallery to take inspiration in Art and for their work on Monet; Y1-6 have taken part in lovely, interactive Mental Health workshops, focusing on the importance of wellbeing; Y6 have taken part in their Cycle Confident sessions and started their swimming sessions (6 x weeks at Downside Fisher); Y3 visited the British Museum as part of their current History topic;  Belgium class attended a Garden Cinema screening of ‘Fantastic Mr. Fox’ - please see the flyer below to find out how you can attend screenings with your family. Finally, music lessons, library visits and sports coaching sessions continue as usual. What a week!

Our full newsletter is below as well as an updated Diary Dates sheet; please do check for changes regularly (some weather dependent events are included!); as you can see from the above, we have a very busy term planned.

Our Collective Worship theme has focused on ‘The Early Church’ and the beginning of Christianity. This will continue next week with Stephen, Philip and The Road to Damascus.

We’re wishing you, along with our whole community, a great weekend.

God bless, from the St. James’ team.
