A lovely week in school – all children have used the same picture book ‘Hike’ to create a shared story and illustrations which we’ll have published in the form of big books at both sites. We have welcomed author/illustrator Clara Vulliamy into school to deliver assemblies to all children as part of our World Book Day celebrations.  It’s also wonderful to see such great enthusiasm with a super range of costumes on display! We’ve had some very well-attended coffee mornings/parent workshops and tours this week too – great to see everyone who was in attendance for these.

Our Collective Worship theme for this half term continues with the Gospel according to Mark, discussing Jesus’s life in the run up to Easter. This week we’ve looked at Jesus as a healer, some of the parables he told, and also one of his miracles – the Feeding of the 5,000.

internetmatters.org have partnered with Tesco to develop digital toolkits to help families set controls and privacy settings on new and old devices that they use, along with plenty of advice on how to deal with online risks. They've included tips on how to make the most of a digital world, based on what children like to do.

Everyone can have a difficult moment from time to time. Being constantly online can make students feel like there's not enough time to gather their thoughts.

Cyber security means protection in the online space. Therefore, it can refer to the security settings you use on your online social and video gaming accounts or the software you use on your family’s devices.

Good cyber security means the risk of your family’s personal information falling into the wrong hands is less likely. As such, it’s important to implement security measures that protect your devices.

Here is a reminder that PE days remain unchanged, so kit should be worn on the following days please:

• Every Tuesday: Reception, Years 3 & 5;
• Every Wednesday: Years 1 & 2;
• Every Thursday: Years 4 & 6;
• Every Friday: Cezanne class (KS2) additional PE
