Wishing you, and our whole community, a great weekend.

internetmatters.org have partnered with Tesco to develop digital toolkits to help families set controls and privacy settings on new and old devices that they use, along with plenty of advice on how to deal with online risks. They've included tips on how to make the most of a digital world, based on what children like to do.
The links to each age grouped section is below and we have attached at the bottom of this page their individual guides grouped by age with additional information.
Sometimes it is difficult to set digital boundaries about amount of use, what is suitable and how we should all behave online. Use the template we have attached below from internetmatters.org to help your family agree what is right for you.
Everyone can have a difficult moment from time to time. Being constantly online can make students feel like there's not enough time to gather their thoughts.
These short meditation videos can help you step away from digital distractions and get through to the other side.
Below is the link to three short videos posted by BBC Bitesize that demonstrate how children can use the internet for moments of relaxation, reflection or to help deal with difficult moments.
internetmatters.org produces many useful resources and family-friendly information around internet safety. Their Layer Up for Online Safety sheets attached at the bottom of this page explain simple ways you can use safety settings to support children's online safety.
We are highlighting the many useful resources provided by internetmatters.org when investigating ways for you and your family to remain cybersecure.
Cyber security is an important part of daily life, whether you’re connecting to public WiFi or browsing at home. Learn how to keep your family secure with expert guidance.
Cyber security means protection in the online space. Therefore, it can refer to the security settings you use on your online social and video gaming accounts or the software you use on your family’s devices.
Good cyber security means the risk of your family’s personal information falling into the wrong hands is less likely. As such, it’s important to implement security measures that protect your devices.
Here's a message to our St James' community from Jessica Ennis-Hill as we start our Tesco Stronger Starts Campaign. Just ask for the blue tokens at the Tesco till when you finish your shopping and pop them in the St James' box to help us gain funding for school projects.
If you wish to view this website in a language other than English, this short video will show you how to do so using a Google browser on your device.
