We have enjoyed a lovely, festive final week of the Autumn term, highlights of course being those wonderful performances and services where many parents and carers joined us. A short newsletter is attached below with the updated diary sheet and a few reminders of events being held locally.

Do remember, we break up at 13:15 (Alexis St) and 13:30 (Old Jamaica Road) on Friday 19th December and return on Monday 5th January 2026 at the normal school times.
Wishing you and our whole community a
wonderful Christmas holiday filled with peace and joy
– we look forward to seeing you all in 2026!
God bless,
from the St. James’ team.
A busy, productive and joyful week as we prepare for our final week of the term. Children are rehearsing for next week’s nativities and carol events; Y1 had a very well-attended Christmas stall event; many visited our ‘Big Book’ event; library and swimming visits have now finished for the term. Our Collective Worship theme has continued to focus on Advent, looking at the birth of Jesus from the perspective of all involved.
There are plenty of reminders for the many events taking place during the final week of term as well as events and offers for families throughout the festive season. Please do view the full newsletter attached below together with the diary dates sheet, flu immunisation reminder and fliers for Reception's upcoming Christmas stall and Southwark's Winter of Food & Fun.
Wishing you and our whole community a lovely
final weekend of the Autumn term.
God bless, from the St. James’ team.
Every year we post our Christmas page which is full of fun online activities including games, baking, craft ideas and songs.
We are highlighting the many useful resources provided by internetmatters.org when investigating ways for you and your family to remain cybersecure.
Cyber security is an important part of daily life, whether you’re connecting to public WiFi or browsing at home. Learn how to keep your family secure with expert guidance.
Cyber security means protection in the online space. Therefore, it can refer to the security settings you use on your online social and video gaming accounts or the software you use on your family’s devices.
Good cyber security means the risk of your family’s personal information falling into the wrong hands is less likely. As such, it’s important to implement security measures that protect your devices.
A school session for flu vaccinations will take place on 27th November; details regarding this will be forwarded to you shortly.
It’s that time of year again when you must apply for a reception place for September 2026. Official tours have now ended. If you wish to visit our school please contact admissions@st-james.southwark.sch.uk
