Latest Newsletter - Friday 10th October 2025

Another busy week! We’ve continued to visit the library; violin, sports and performing arts sessions all continue to go well; Y3 have been busy engaging in their Cycle Confident sessions at Alexis St; Y6 attended Southwark Playhouse for a performance and workshop; Y4 attended a ‘frog life’ nature workshop in the Alexis St orchard; Millwall football sessions and an additional football competition were attended and today we’re all wearing yellow to mark World Mental Health Day and show our support for Young Minds.

The biggest highlight was Sunday’s ‘Run, Canada Water, Run’ event in Southwark Park. A HUGE turn out, meaning we’re eligible for a very generous and helpful £5k worth of funding to help further develop our outside spaces. Thank you so much for your support!

In our Collective Worship this week, we’ve been discussing ‘gratitude’ as we’ve thought about Harvest and how we can give to help others. We had a lovely service with Rev. Dom on Monday and are very grateful for all your generous donations to the Manna Centre which will be delivered in addition to items the church collects themselves.

Please see attached below our full newsletter together with the diary dates sheet and flyers concerning a parent coffee morning, flu vaccinations and fire safety.

Wishing you, along with our whole community, a super weekend.
God bless,  from the St. James’ team.
