Latest Newsletter - Friday 4 July 2025

Another warm and busy week! Children performed well in their assessments and worked hard to show us all they know (assessment judgments and performance data will appear on end-of-year Reports which will be sent via e-mail in the final week of term); Y1 & 2 all visited Hyde Park for their British Summer Time Festival; Y3 attended Music workshops in the Appleby Blue; we have begun to welcome children and new parents/carers for our Reception cohort in September 2025 and many Y6s attended transition days to secondary schools. Y6 also attended the Oval for a terrific Cricket trip, and library visits and swimming lessons continue.
Our Collective Worship theme has started to focus on ‘Moving On’ as we approach the end of the academic year. On Wednesday we all paid tribute to Penny Molyneux at Old Jamaica Road as she retired from our Full Governing Board after over 20 years of service. We wish her the very best of luck for a full and happy retirement.
Our full newsletter and diary dates sheet is attached below together with numerous flyers giving information regarding summer fun and activities.
Wishing you, our children, and our whole school community a super weekend!
God bless, from the St. James’ team.
