An exciting, fun-filled week with lots of sun – swimming and Millwall sessions continue for Years 5&6; our Year 5 children had their Mini-Police ‘Passing Out’ ceremony; our Year 6s had an amazing trip away to the Surrey Hills on their residential trip and we look forward to Sports Day!
Our Collective Worship theme for this week has seen us continue to explore our school vision of ‘Let your light shine’ and our school aims and values with the children. This week – ‘Doing the right thing’.
Uniform again from next week please – the forecast is looking cooler. Should temperatures creep up again we will make allowances as we have this week. Do remember to send in water bottles and to apply sun cream as we like to learn outside whenever possible at this time of year. We also have a few lovely trips on the horizon so this is important on these days too.

ASSESSMENT WEEK for all children next week – as always, no pressure, just encourage children to try their very bese for our end of year assessments!
Monday 29th June
• Y5 continue sessions with Millwall for ‘Joy of Movement’ sports each week – PE KITS ON ADDITIONAL DAY;
• 5 Turner and Year 6 swimming lessons each Monday at Downside Fisher – SWIMMING KITS PLEASE;
• Cezanne to Multi-Sports Day at Bacon’s College – PE Kits on this additional day please;
• Monday enrichment clubs continue after school – these finish at 16:15 (Alexis St) and 16:30 (OJR).
Tuesday 30th June
• Year 1 trip to Paddington Experience using fundraising money from earlier in the year;
• Year 2 Summer trip to British Summer Time Festival, Hyde Park;
• Year 5 Boys’ football after school – separate invitation.
Wednesday 1st July
• MOST Year 6 attending Southwark transition days to secondary schools;
• Groundworks Wellbeing assemblies delivered to KS2 children at Alexis St;
• Year 1 Summer trip to British Summer Time Festival, Hyde Park;
• KS2 Dance competition with Miss Hermione – group by invitation.
Thursday 2nd July
• Year 5 trip to British Museum;
• Young Marketeers trading day at Borough Market with Mrs Brenta.
Friday 3rd July
• No events.
