Friday 1st May 2026

We’ve had another sunny and productive week, continuing to focus on Science learning for our topic work. 5 Ofili have begun their swimming lessons; all EYFS and Key Stage One children have taken part in drama workshops delivered by Drama4All and 4 Kahlo have begun a series of art workshops with a local artist with a link to Southwark Park Gallery. Our KS2 Parents’ Evening was very well-attended and performing arts, music and PE lessons continue to be enjoyed by all.
Our Collective Worship theme for this half term focusses on stories from Acts, what we can learn from these and apply to our lives. This week we’ve thought further about the apostles’ actions and the Holy Spirit and celebrated this.
Our full newsletter is attached below together with our diary date sheet, a flyer for the summer half term and a poster for our Cultural Diversity celebration on Thursday 21st May.
Wishing you, and our whole community, a super long, May Day bank holiday weekend!
God bless, from the St. James’ team.
