St. James' CE Primary School

Cascade Warning

Back in October 2017, a warning was issued via the school cascade messaging system, concerning a number of incidents where teenage girls have been assaulted on schooldays during the hours of 7.45am - 5.30pm, ie journey times to and from school. The suspect was described as a white male, between 30 - 40 years old, with blonde/grey hair, possibly with a ginger/sandy/grey beard and one report suggested he may have a faded blue tattoo on his left arm.

Unfortunately, we have again been contacted and it is believed that these serious  attacks, in the Lewisham, Greenwich and Southwark areas, have continued and the suspect remains at large. May we remind you to advise your children to travel in groups, avoid parks and alleyways as cut-throughs and stay on main roads. We also urge you to ensure that primary-aged children are accompanied by a responsible adult to and from school. Please remain vigilant and report any suspicious circumstances or incidents to the police and to school.
