Annual flu vaccination

This vaccination has now taken place for
the current academic year.

The children's flu vaccine helps protect against flu. It's offered to children aged 2 to 3 years, school-aged children (Reception to Year 11) and children with certain long-term health conditions.

Below is a copy of a letter from Lambeth and Southwark School age Immunisation Team explaining their vaccination program. Having read the letter, please click on the link at the bottom of the letter which takes you to a form to complete on behalf of each of your children, giving details and expressing your consent. It is vital that we receive a completed form for each of your children by ***********. Your completed form will be electronically transferred via email to the school office. We cannot accept paper copies of the form into school. Please complete the form below and send it off as soon as possible. If you decide you do not want to vaccinate your child against flu, please return the consent form giving the reason. This will help the NHS plan and improve the service.

NB: The Nasal Flu Spray is a live vaccine which contains gelatine derived from pigs (porcine gelatine). There is no suitable alternative flu vaccine available for otherwise healthy children. More information for parents/guardians is available from www.nhs.uk/child-flu.
