Welcome to a new academic year at St James'

Welcome to all our students and their families, and our staff, to the new academic year at St James'.
Please see below for a reminder of starting and ending times and arrangements for all children at both sites.

Old Jamaica Road (Nursery, Reception and Key Stage One)

All children who attend our Old Jamaica Road site should arrive at/by 09:15.
The end of the school day for all children is 15:15.
Please use the following gates to drop off and collect your children:

Year 1 – class teachers will use the office/side gate next to Casby House/Bowley House. Please drop your children here at the gate and children will line up in the playground and go straight to their classes from there.

Reception and Year 2 – class teachers will use the main playground gate on Old Jamaica Road and Reception and Year 2 children will line up in the playground and go to their classes from there.

Nursery – class teachers will use the playground gate next to the Gregorian/ underpass.

As always, a member of our Senior Leadership Team will be at the gates to answer any questions.

Please continue to send children into school in their PE kit uniform on PE days. We will let you know when these are before the first full week back. Children may bring water bottles and a book bag but, as we have always requested, no other personal items should be brought in to school.

Alexis Street (Key Stage Two)

All children who attend our Alexis St site should arrive at/by 08:55.

The end of the school day for all children is 15:30.
All children in KS2 will enter the main playground through the double gates on Linsey Street. Children should be left at the gate and line up with their class teachers in the playground and go straight to their classes from there. We will still be operating the barrier to make the roads safer around Alexis St at beginnings and ends of school days.

As always, a member of our Senior Leadership Team will be at the gates to answer any questions.
