Southwark Council Bulletin
The Southwark Council bulletin has been released for June and contains a lot of useful information for local residents. Apart from news on how over 40's can now go to a walk-in centre to receive their first vaccination without an appointment, other particular articles of note include:
Free family fitness classes;
Job and career support for young people;
A high street recovery fund to revitalise local shopping areas;
Community gardening projects;
the return of the Rotherhithe Festival on 7th August;
A new youth 'new deal' event for 14+.
All the details on the above, as well Covid reminders can be found at:
Southwark Council Bulletin for June
Despite the success of the vaccine rollout, COVID-19 cases are rising again in Southwark. It is vital that we continue to follow the current guidance. This means:
- work at home if you can
- washing our hands regularly
- keeping our distance from others (only mixing inside in groups of up to six or two households)
- wearing a face covering when required (unless you're exempt).
The government has confirmed they plan to lift restrictions on 19 July.
