  • ESOL Parents’ Course/Cookery Parents’ Course

    ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) resumes on Tuesday (15th January) at 13:30 at Old Jamaica Road. If you are interested in joining this group or would like to hear more about it please do come along on Tuesday and meet Mrs Brenta and Patricia, the tutor from Southwark. There is a crèche so you can leave any young children while you learn.

  • Wanted: Confident Parents!

    A TV production company, Monkey Kingdom, are currently looking for confident parents to take part in a brand new competition for a major broadcaster. 

    They want to hear from parents who are proud of the way they raise their children and who have a particular child-rearing strategy as they are looking for Britain’s Best Parent. Whether raising children in a couple or singly they want to hear from parents who would like to share their approach with others. You will need to have at least one child between the ages of five and thirteen to take part. See the flyer below for full details.

  • Let your children start the new year with a new language

    We’re happy to announce that a new after-school Mandarin club is opening at St James’ in January, which will be fun for your children as well as preparing them for the future. Run by Speak Like A Native, this club will give your children the chance to participate in activities and games while learning Mandarin at the same time. There’s no homework, no learning lists of words and no stress.

    At the end of last term, many of you completed photographic permission slips for your child/children, as we are updating these permissions in line with the new data protection laws. We will be following up repeat forms for any families who have yet to complete them. It is really important that you advise us of your wishes regarding sharing of images. Repeat forms are available below which you can download and they are also available at the office. Please make sure you have completed a form for each of your children at St James'.
