St. James' CE Primary School


We are often sent information regarding local events which we will list below together with any information/flyers which will be downloadable at the bottom of this page.

There are lots of free activities over the Easter holidays, see details below:

  • Easter Egg Hunt - The Blue Market on Saturday 31st March 11am - 4pm.
  • Good Friday at Trafalgar Square - live re-enactment of Jesus's final days, from his arret to his resurrection, featuring 100 performers and animals. Performances at 12 noon and 3.15pm.
  • Thursday 5 - Friday 6 April - A 2 day course 'Beautiful Birds and Extraordinary Eggs' at the Centre for Wildlife Gardening SE15 4EE, call to book 0203 897 6151.
  • Friday 6 April - Horniman Museum - Hands on explore and get to touch such things as African masks and shark jaws.
  • Saturday 7 April - Trafalgar Square Games festival - a one day only games festival with workshops, reality games and hands-on games.
  • Monday 9 April - Minibeast Magic at the Centre for Wildlife Gardening, book places on 0203 897 6151.
  • Parent skills 2 go are offering free activity sessions for 0 - 10 year olds on the 3rd and 10th April from 10.30am - 12.30pm at the Lewington Centre, Rotherhithe. Spaces are limited so view the flyer below for details on how to book places. the flyer also contains details of other dates and venues where activities will also be run during the Easter break.
  • We will be running a Teaching Assistant course for parents after Easter on Thursdays from 9.30am - 1.30pm. The course is for five weeks and will be run at a subsidised cost of £40 in total. If you are interested in attending this course, do get in touch with Carolyn Brenta, our parent liaison, who is based at Alexis Street.
  • Free Bikeability courses are being run by Southwark for beginners, intermediate off road and off road at both Dulwich and Burgess Parks. For full details see the flyer below, call 020303 16730 or follow the link here
  • Fit for Sport are running Easter Activity Camps at BoucherCE Primary School. Flyers will be sent home with your child or go to the bottom of this page to download  details of this and the FfS Healthy Passport scheme. You can also click here for further details.
  • Southwark Borough residents are now able to use the swim and gym facilities for free in six of the borough’s leisure centres, operated by  Everyone Active in partnership with Southwark Council. Registration is now open for Free Swim and Gym - follow the link to register: click here.

          When is the offer available?

  • Anytime on Friday (subject to programmes and timetables)
  • Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 2.00pm to close
  • Over 60s can take part in any Silver sessions free
  • Disabled residents will be able to use all leisure centres for free seven days a week

We regularly attend St James' Church for services and every Wednesday we have a Church assembly at both schools.
